Recycled Spectacles and Hearing Aids
In March 2013 Stafford Lions took over the collection of used spectacles from Stafford Rotary Club.
Recycled spectacles help visually impaired people in countries such as Ghana, Papua New Guinea, Nepal and Nigeria.
We now also recycle used hearing aids.
Since March 2013 when we took over spectacles recycling from Stafford Rotary Club we have sent off
31,674 used spectacles
and 1669 used hearing aids
Where you can donate unwanted spectacles and hearing aids:
Unwanted spectacles, sunglasses and hearing aids can be handed in at:
ASDA Superstore.
OR Boots Opticians 39 Gaolgate Street (the opticians not the main Boots Store)
OR one of two collection boxes at Stafford Hospital in the corridor outside the Out Patient’s Department.
OR at Webb &Lucas Opticians, 8 Bridge Street, Stafford
