\"\"<\/span> Young Leaders in Service Award (YLiS):<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
The \u2018Young Leaders in Service Award\u2019 recognizes young people who provide significant levels of service to their communities within a 12 month period.<\/span>
\n<\/span>Target Age Group:<\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span>12 to 18 year olds (School Years 7 to 13)
\nTarget Groups:<\/span><\/strong><\/b>
\n<\/b><\/span>High Schools or youth groups such as Scouts, Guides, Cadets, Youth Clubs and Young Carers etc.<\/span><\/span><\/span>Levels:<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>(to be completed within a 12 month period)<\/span>
\n<\/em>50 hours of service = Silver Award<\/span><\/span>
\n 100 hours of service = Gold Award .<\/span><\/td>\n		\"\"

\n sponsored by Lions Clubs International<\/span>
\n supported locally<\/span>

\"\"<\/span><\/strong> \u00a0 How does it Work?<\/span><\/strong><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n

The Lions Young Leaders in Service Awards are sponsored by local Lions clubs.\u00a0 Clubs may recognise as many young people as they find eligible, inviting\u00a0 youth groups or local schools to participate.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each young person will be provided with a logbook in which to record their service activities.\u00a0 These activities are in a number of different categories \u2013 all the hours can be from the same activity or from a variety of services.\u00a0 Categories include service to the young, the elderly, family members and the homeless and hungry. It could also include protecting our \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 environment.\u00a0 Young people may also wish to assist their local Lions club in fundraising or welfare activities.\u00a0 All these activities count as hours towards the award.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \"\"<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0 Administration of the Award:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Stafford Lions club will invite youth groups or local schools to participate in the award scheme and will distribute program materials.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Lions Award Chairman coordinates with adult youth group leaders or school personnel, who can certify young people\u2019s service records and submit award forms to the Lions club.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Club Secretary will request awards from Lions Clubs International HQ in America.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lions Clubs International issues a congratulatory letter from the International President and a certificate for each recipient.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stafford Lions Club will liaise with organisations to arrange for an award presentation for youth recipients.<\/span><\/p>\n
